About Us
Pearl Coast is a division of QAL Refrigeration. QAL designs, manufactures, installs and services air-conditioning systems throughout Western Australia. Established 18 years ago, the company has grown from a humble 2 man operation in 1989, to over 100 staff and 7 branches across Western Australia – and we’re now part of the Hastie Group.
Over the years, QAL has grown strategically. We opened up branches where there has been demand – in the North West of Western Australia for instance – and for the past 4 years, our service and installation operations have also continued to grow.
From the very beginning, our founding Managing Director, Mr Peter Jenkinson, has led our company with a strong focus on customer service and a “can do” attitude. It’s a way of thinking that is reflected in everything we do, from client relationships to how we treat our staff.
This attitude has led to strong partnerships with clients like Woolworths (we look after all their refrigeration in WA), Coles, Woodside, IGA supermarkets, convenience stores and liquor stores throughout the state. And in the north west of WA, we have partnered up with major mining & construction companies to provide them with specialist air conditioning services.
